Obituary for N. Jeanette Mace (formerly Koliadko)

THORN HILL, TENN – N. Jeanette Mace (formerly Koliadko), 78, of Thorn Hill passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 in Johnson City Medical Center. 

She was born May 15, 1941 in Grottoes, Virginia, the daughter of Elbert Nelson and Marian Earle (Martin) Mace.   She graduated from Shenandoah Valley Academy, class of 1959.  That same year she married Paul Koliadko who preceded her in death on December 23, 2001. 

Prior to retirement, Jeanette was a literature evangelist (Christian book sales) for the Carolina Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.  She was a dearly loved mother and was known for her hospitality, amazing cooking, and artistic skill.  She was a member of the Grottoes  Seventh-day Adventist Church. 

Surviving are her five children, Karen Nash and husband Steve of Berrien Springs, Mich., Jeanie  Allen and husband Kurt of Ooltewah, Tenn., Pamela Anderson and husband Brent of Verona, Dana Smolder and husband Brian of Altamonte Springs, Fla., and David Koliadko and wife Yoonjung of Dahlonga, Ga.; five brothers, Roger Mace  and wife Karen of Grottoes, Ronald Mace and wife Judy of Appling, Ga., Gerald Mace and wife Jane of Mt. Sidney, Jeffery Mace of Baltimore, Md., and Perry Mace and wife Keli of Grottoes; nine grandchildren, Shelli Meulemans  and husband Paul, Matthew Nash and wife Mayu, Amanda Gan and husband David, Melissa Garner and husband Ryan, Noelle Koliadko, Noah Koliadko, Damian Smolder, Bentley Smolder, and Dilan Smolder; one great-granddaughter, Bria Meulemans; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 4, in the Waynesboro Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1700 Lyndhurst Road, Waynesboro, officiated by Pastor Denny Grady.  Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro.  Active pallbearers will be Steve Nash, Kurt Allen, Brian Smolder, Brent Anderson, Matthew Nash, Gerald Mace, Jeff Mace, and Perry Mace. 

The family will receive friends Friday at 12:00 noon in the church prior to the funeral service. 

Memorials may be directed to Discover Bible School, Voice of Prophecy, P. O. Box 999, Loveland, CO 80539; or to the memorial fund for Christian education at Waynesboro Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1700 Lyndhurst Road, Waynesboro, VA  22980.
